By bus to Rishikesh, then rickshaw
From Delhi to Rishikesh (distance about 245 km) can be reached by bus, some of them depart from the area of Pahar Ganj, also known as the Main Bazaar in Delhi. Other buses come from Kashmiri Gate station. A bus for 8-10 hours (although the ticket sellers usually say 6 hours) to deliver to the station of Rishikesh, but most likely you will need to go not even in the city of Rishikesh, but Ram Jhula, Lakshman Jhula or Tapovan, so the station can take a rickshaw to get to the bridge, and there walk to your Guesthouse/Hotel.
Plane to Dehradun, then bus, taxi or rickshaw
The nearest airport is Dehradun Jolly Grant airport, airport code DED located 16 km from Rishikesh, not to be confused with Dehradun city which is about 30 km from the airport. From the airport you can take a taxi (pre-book cheaper), and if the time is more than money, you can try to wait for the rare buses to Rishikesh.
By train to Haridwar, then by bus, taxi or rickshaw
