Sikhism is a fairly young religion, which has absorbed all the best of other spiritual currents: Hinduism, Christianity, Sufism and others. The basis of this religion is Karma yoga and selfless service to humanity. Sikhs do not distinguish between castes, and in Sikh temples everyone is equal – whether it is a President or a beggar. In whatever country of the world you are-come to the Sikh temple and you are free to feed, drink and will always be happy.

Rishikesh is also the home to the Gurudwara Sikh temple as well as a museum, library and dining room.
